句练 Legal

Vocer Legal

Privacy Policy

Vocer is a local audio training app. Our privacy baseline is simple and verifiable: your audio files, file names, paths, learning records, and saved clips mainly stay on your device. Data that leaves the device is limited to product analytics, app lifecycle information, and feedback you choose to send us.

This policy explains how the current version of Vocer handles data. If app features or third-party services change, we will update this page and the related App Store privacy disclosures.

This page is provided for product transparency and platform submission. It is not legal advice, and it should still be reviewed by qualified legal or platform compliance reviewers before release.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Vocer iOS app and the static legal pages provided for the app. It does not apply to information you separately provide to Apple, your email client, the system share sheet, App Store services, or other third-party services.

Vocer currently does not provide user login, online material hosting, remote backup, or public publishing features. Audio files you import enter the app sandbox through local system flows such as the document picker, AirDrop, or file sharing. The app does not upload audio content to our servers.

2. Data matrix

App lifecycle and session informationSent to AmplitudeUnderstand launches, foreground/background transitions, session length, and basic stability.Handled by the Amplitude SDK under its service rules. You can stop future sending by turning off analytics.
Device or installation identifiers, app version, and similar technical informationMay be sent to AmplitudeDeduplication, session analysis, compatibility checks, and troubleshooting.Handled by the third-party SDK under its service rules. We do not intentionally associate it with your name or email address.
Email feedback contentLeaves the device only when you send itReply to questions, troubleshoot issues, and record product suggestions.Depends on the email content you send. You may ask us to delete it or stop contacting you.

3. Analytics boundary

Vocer sends product analytics through the local TXAnalytics facade to AmplitudeSwift. Before events leave the device, app code filters file names, full paths, raw search text, and audio content, and prefers bucketed values.

Example fields may include:

screen_nameentry_pointresultmaterial_typeduration_bucketsegment_count_bucketquery_length_bucketplayback_rate

These fields help us understand whether features work, where flows are difficult, and which training capabilities need improvement. We do not upload your audio content, file names, full paths, or raw search text for product analytics.

4. Third-party services

The current version uses AmplitudeSwift for product analytics. Amplitude may receive product analytics events, session information, app lifecycle information, device or installation identifiers, app version, and similar technical information. We use this information only for product improvement, stability observation, and troubleshooting.

The app may also use Apple system capabilities for installation, updates, file import, email sending, and system backup. For data independently handled by Apple or other apps on your device, please refer to the policies of those service providers.

5. Your controls

  • You can turn off analytics in app Settings. After that, Vocer stops actively sending product analytics events.
  • You can delete local audio materials. Deleting materials does not automatically delete saved learning records, but records may not be playable without the local file.
  • You can clear learning records in Settings, including recent playback, favorite clips, and saved clips.
  • You can contact us at [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion of information related to feedback you sent us.

6. Retention and deletion

Local audio, learning records, playback progress, and preferences stay on the device until you delete materials, clear records, uninstall the app, or the system removes related data. Because this data is mainly processed on device, we generally cannot remotely access or restore it.

Product analytics data is retained by Amplitude under its service rules. We limit the fields we send and keep analytics focused on summarized information needed to improve the product. Email feedback you send us is retained only as needed to handle the issue and maintain the conversation.

7. Security

Vocer relies on the iOS sandbox, the local file system, and system file-selection capabilities to isolate app data. We filter analytics fields before sending product analytics, so local material names, paths, and raw search text are not sent as analytics fields.

No security measure is absolute. Please import only audio files you have the right to use and are comfortable keeping on this device, and keep your own device-level backups and access protection as needed.

8. Children

Vocer is intended for general language learning and listening/speaking practice. It does not intentionally collect information from children. If you believe a child sent us feedback that should not be retained, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes

If Vocer features, data practices, third-party services, or platform requirements change, we will update this policy and the effective date above. For significant changes, we will try to provide notice through the app or release notes.
