Vocer Legal

Terms of Service

Thank you for using Vocer. Vocer is a local audio listening and speaking practice tool for importing audio, playback practice, A/B repeat clips, saved clips, and review records.

By using Vocer, you understand and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

This page explains the basic rules for using Vocer. It is not legal advice. App Store distributed versions are also subject to Apple's standard licensed application terms.

1. License

If you obtain Vocer through the App Store, the app is licensed to you, not sold. Unless a separate written agreement applies, the App Store distributed version is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Subject to these Terms, Apple's applicable rules, and applicable law, you may use Vocer on Apple-branded devices you own or control.

2. App purpose

Vocer is for personal language learning, listening and speaking practice, and local audio repeat training. Playback, waveform display, clip saving, favorites, and review features are learning aids only, and may not fit every file, learning goal, or device state.

You understand that Vocer depends on local files, iOS system capabilities, and device performance. Audio formats, file corruption, system restrictions, or storage conditions may affect import, playback, and record saving.

3. Your content

You are responsible for audio files and learning records you import into Vocer. Please make sure you have the right to use those audio files and that your use does not infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights of others.

Vocer does not claim ownership of your imported audio files or locally generated learning records. The app processes those materials only as needed to provide local practice features.

4. Use rules

You agree not to use Vocer to do any of the following:

  • Import, save, or distribute content you do not have the right to use.
  • Bypass security restrictions of iOS, the App Store, or third-party services.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the app, device, system services, or third-party services.
  • Use the app unlawfully or in a way that infringes the rights of others.

5. Local data and backups

Vocer's core data is mainly stored on your device, including imported audio files, playback progress, A/B markers, saved clips, review records, and preferences. You should manage original copies of important audio files and device backups yourself.

Deleting materials, clearing learning records, uninstalling the app, system storage cleanup, or device failure may make data unrecoverable. See the Privacy Policy for more information about data handling.

6. Feedback

If you send us questions, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you authorize us to use that feedback to improve Vocer without paying you. We handle email content and contact details you voluntarily send according to the Privacy Policy.

7. Open-source licenses

If you obtain Vocer source code, third-party components, or related materials under an open-source license, your rights and obligations are governed by that open-source license. These Terms do not limit rights already granted to you by an applicable open-source license.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Vocer is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the app will be continuous, error-free, or meet all of your expectations on every device, system version, file format, or use case.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, data loss, learning interruption, device issues, or third-party service issues caused by using or being unable to use Vocer. Where certain exclusions or limitations are not allowed, the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by local law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update Vocer or these Terms for feature improvements, platform requirements, security reasons, or maintenance needs. When the Terms change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.

If you violate these Terms, or if your use creates risk for the app, users, platforms, or third parties, we may limit or terminate related services to the extent permitted by law.

10. Contact us

If you have questions about these Terms or Vocer, please email [email protected].

Before release reminder If future versions add new network capabilities, paid features, material hosting, multi-user interaction, or other major features, review these Terms and the Privacy Policy before release.
